History of Basketball 

1. Basketball was invented by Dr. James Naismith. 
2. Basketball was invented in a training school at Springfield, Massachusetts. 
3. Basketball was invented in 1891. 
4. Dr. Naismith invented basketball with a peach basket and a soccer ball. 
5. He created this sport for indoors in winter time. 
6. The game had few rules compare to the game as of now. 
7. At first the game didn't have a court & whenever someone scored someone else would have to get a ladder and take the ball out of the basket. 
8. The game just had regular shots, nothing special just throw the ball and make it in the basket. 
9. Basketball today has many rules, special shots, a courtyard  and the basket wasn't a peach basket anymore, it was an actual net so the ball can go through and not get stuck.
