Student Success Statement

"you have brains in your head,
You have feet in your shoes;
You can steer yourself in
any direction you choose.
You're on your own,
And you know what you know.
You are the guy who'll decide where to go"
Dr. Seuss

I can actually agree with this statement because we were always meant to make our own decisions and do what we want to do not what other told us to do because thats not the way life works.

Student Success Statement

"Obedience is the great test in life."

I don't get how talking about people who work for the church is consider new media. I feel like I'm in a futuristic church school because everyday we have to talk about these so call "good" people because they're the president of the church.  I wanted to take a new media class to learn about computer not about the people of the church.

“Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy.”

David Bednar

I simply cannot agree with David Bednar mainly because I believe the key to happiness is the freedom of doing what you want to do & living your dream to its limit or even passing the limit. One should not follow rules every day to “feel happy”, we should break rules in our privacy whenever we want to or not that’s the true feeling of happiness.
Video Game Designer
Online Research
Duties and Responsibilities: A Video Game Designer is a person who creates gameplay, structure, & rules of the game.

Salary: It’s a good question, but it’s complicated. Salary ranges for game designers can vary

dramatically depending on several factors. Where is the studio located? How big is the company? What platforms are you developing for? Are you in an individual contributor role, or a leadership role? But they would usually make about $150,000 to $250,000

Education:  High school diploma; some may require bachelor’s degree, computer science

Reflection: I probably would want to become a video game designer mainly because I like the whole idea of making video games. I always loved video games since I was a kid, & just the idea of making a video game is like one of my biggest dreams do to.

Reggie Bush

I must admit the so call "crime" Reggie Bush committed was nothing, he shouldn't be stripped of his titles because thats what humans do. We do anything to live a good life, we would cheat & lie to protect ourselves or others. So anyone who calls him a bad person, good for nothing, , ETC.. is ignorant.

Boyd K. Packer

I Simply can not agree with this statement mainly because you will feel "free" but in reality we don't know the true feeling of freedom. This statement reminds me of what the Nazi's would do, if you disobeyed orders you would be  punished & if you're really obedient it wouldnt matter to Hitler, he would still treat u like the rest.

Student Success Statement

"The key to freedom is obedience"

Boyd K. Packer

I Simply can not agree with Boyd, because it doesn't make any sense to my definition of freedom.
What he is trying to say is we should obey "The Man" so we can feel free.

Obedience
Obedience, in human behavior is a form of social influence in which a person yields to explicit instructions or order from an authority figure

Submissive Compliance

  • Military service demands obedience from its member
  • An obedient soldier would follow a command, even if it meant he would probably be killed following it
  • An obedient child would go to bed exactly when his mother/father told him/her to do so without objecting or arguing.

“What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player”

John Wooden

What he is trying to say is we should appreciate ourselves for what we are & what we do. You don’t have to be a basketball player to be successful, you just have to be yourself & do what you dream to do.
