Part 2 Finals:
A. Well I did like the fact that we were able to practice on our typing. However i didn't like the student success statements.

B. Maybe you can start by teaching everyone about computers & the software.

C. I try everyday not to say something back when doing the Student success statement.

D. No, because i don't care about that book, i want to live my life with adventures that i can lean from & laugh about in the future.

E. I'm committed to being what i want to be either if its doing good or bad.

F. I do not care much about any of this, if i want to go through a forest that looks bad then i would go in there. Why? because its an adventure going through somewhere or doing something you've never done before. you gain experience & the adrenaline running through you body when doing something bad.
Interdisciplinary Unit: Birth control

Me and my group talked about birth control & how anyone with a PhD should inform adolescents about birth control. I didn't really care much about it but i wasn't going to let my team down so i did my part of the work. i was proud of my group for reminding me everyday about the presentation & making sure I don't forget about my work (which i never did). Everyone in my group was friendly & was confident about the presentation. When the day of the presentation came i wasn't nervous, in my mind i was thinking "lets just get this over with so i can go home." and everyone in my team was a bit nervous. When we got to our classrooms i got really nervous & I was thinking about other things way to much. When my group started talking I could feel my hands shaking & when it was my time to speak I spoke for a bit then blanked out. I had to look at my flash card to refresh my mind & remember where i was but i was really nervous that I didn't really say much. My team did very well, they spoke fluently, they remember their parts & they dressed professionally. When the presentation was over i was calm & didn't feel nervous anymore, all I wanted to do was go home.

“When I feel good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad.”
Abraham Lincoln

Reflection: Thanks for pointing out the obvious. There are times when I feel bad I would feel much different. But when I do well I feel a little better inside, like a warm feeling. Maybe I’m going crazy but I get a warm feeling after doing something I know is good.

Student Success Statement
You Are in Charge
“Take responsibility for your own body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental and spiritual well- being”
Mr. Haymore

Reflection: This statement is saying that you should be the one that controls your life & do what you want to do. Very hypocritical coming from a teacher telling us to always “Choose the right”

The sting of the Scorpion

Patrick was stung by a scorpion because we did not do what his parents had told him. His parent’s repeatedly told him to wear his shoes when he went to explore to protect his feet and he did at first. The moment he decides to not wear his shoe but flip-flops instead, he gets stung by a scorpion. He knew what could happen if he didn’t wear his shoes but like he said; he was being lazy and rebellious. What I learned from this is to use common sense and to always be prepared for the worst.

"Always do right."

Mark Twain

Reflection: I don't really agree with this because humans should do whatever they want to do. Not do what they're forced to do.

When you Tell One Lie it Leads to Another

Paul Hatch

When you tell one lie, it leads to another                            So you lie and lie without even trying
So you tell two lie to cover each other                                     And each lie you tell will keep

Then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother,                                               multiplying

You’re in trouble up to your ears!                                       ‘Till the whole wide world will know

So you tell four lies to try to protect you                                              you’re lying

Then you tell five lies so folks won’t suspect                                      Then you’ll be

                             you                                                                               Suspected

Then you tell six lies and you’ll collect                                                    Detected

A life filled with worries and fears                                                           Rejected

‘Cause you can’t remember how many lies                                             Neglected

                         you’ve told                                                                       Disliked

And half the things you say aren’t true                                             And you should!

And sometimes you’ll slip up, you’ll trip up                   When you lie, you’re closing the door

                             and then                                                              On everything good.

Whatever will become of you?

The 3 Questions:
1.   Can people trust me to do what’s right?
2.   Am I committed to do my very best?
3.   Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?

“If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail.”

Lou Holtz

Reflection: The answer to all these questions for me is NO because I don’t care much for others because I know they’re the same for me they don’t care about me. Unless they’re in an accident &/or are really injured then I’ll call an ambulance or the police but that’s all my pity for humans.

Physical Fitness

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body; it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mind is subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know that the Greeks knew: That intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity and when the body is healthy and strong.

John F. Kennedy

Reflection:  I have to agree with JFK, it took me a while to understand this statement but its basically saying if you’re physically healthy mean your body is healthy as well or mentally strong. A person needs to mentally train their body to become strong or it’ll be really bad for them in the future.

Those who are indigenous to this land we call “The United States of America” have been long misrepresented and pushed out of American history textbooks in favor of glorifying those who now rule this nation and represent the dominant culture. What kind of democracy are we when education institutions and teachers refuse to mention the fact that 10 to 30 million Natives were killed at the hands of European invasion and colonialism? What is the point of having a “free market of ideas” when selective and biased history is being taught to our children? There is no other way to put it, but erasing the memory of an entire race of people through distorted history is a systematic way of deceiving and lying to our children. Not only are we presented with biased history, but we are also subjected to an ever-growing culture of capitalism, in which commercialization of an ambiguous holiday merely pulls us away from facts and meaning. Turkeys are associated with “Thanksgiving” in the same way Santa Clause and the Easter bunny have become synonymous with Christmas and Easter, respectively. Through the guise of innocence, capitalism is constantly telling us to consume because consumption equals “happiness.” Tomorrow is not “Black Friday” for nothing. And as children dress up as Pilgrims and Natives to reenact the romanticized version of history, they are not only perpetuating stereotypes, but more importantly, they’re being embedded with lies. What do they really know about the Pilgrims and the Natives? Consider a high school history textbook called “The American Tradition” which describes the scene quite succinctly

Reflection:  I think thanksgiving is a horrible holiday because we are celebrating the  day the pilgrims wiped out the Indians. While the Indians were trying to help the pilgrims survive the pilgrims wanted to keep the land that we call america. So to keep that land they killed the Indians & took over "America". So anyone who thinks thanksgiving is a innocent holiday & are older than the ages of 15 are complete morons.

Kindness

I've actually tried to be kind to others around my neighborhood, but it didn't work out. everyone would be a douche to me. So I gave up on everyone & just stared caring about  me & the one's I care about. I don't care for others anymore because i know they don't care about me. I would only be kind to those that look like they deserve it like a homeless man or a struggling mother. I wouldn't give money to a bum who would just spend it on beer, i would give money on a man who would spend it on food.

Chicken or Eagle?

"If you hang out with chickens you're going to cluck, and if you hang out with eagles, you're going to fly."

It's not all the times if you hang around with the bad crowd you become bad. I can somewhat agree with this but its not like every time you hang out with bad people who "smoke & drink" you'll become one.

Obedience

“When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block.”

James E. Faust

How does talking about Mormons help us with technology, I want to learn about the computer & its many wonders not about a Mormon & their quotes that are supposedly always right. If a human doesn't want to be obedient then that’s his choice & we shouldn't judge him for it or get mad at him.
