Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Doctor

Duties and responsibilities:  An ear, nose and throat specialist (ENT) is a physician trained in the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose throat, and related structures of the head and neck. They have special expertise in managing diseases of the ears, nose and nasal passage sinuses, larynx (voice box), oral cavity and upper pharynx (mouth and throat), as well as structures of the neck and face. ENT is the oldest medical specialty in the United States.

Salary:  $331,910

Education:  To become an ENT doctor, you will begin by pursuing the traditional route to and through medical school.  Score well on the MCAT and earn a high undergraduate GPA, especially in the core science courses of biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. Obtain clinical experiences that allow you to shadow an ENT doctor so that you will begin to understand the realities of the profession.  Apply to complete four years of medical school. During the last two years, you can take specialized coursework in otolaryngology.

Reflection:  I do not I repeat, do not want to become anything in the medical field or involving medicine. I never found the medical field interesting no matter what reason. I would love to study computer science & art but that’s about it. 

Electrocardiograph Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: Performs electrocardiograms according to established policies and procedures. Provides data for diagnosis of heart ailments.

Education:  Electrocardiography technicians usually complete a certificate program or on-the-job training. Courses in a certificate program may include anatomy, CPR, diagnostic electrocardiography, electrocardiogram techniques, and EKG analysis. Some states require electrocardiography technicians to be licensed, and there are several organizations that provide certification. Though not required, many employers seek electrocardiography technicians who hold certifications.

Winter Break

For winter break all I did was play video games with my friends online or alone. I didn't do much because there was not much to do. I would stay up at 6 am just either on YouTube or PS3. For Christmas I didn't get anything because my family didn't have money to spend on us, just on my niece & nephew. I guess my biggest accomplishment is getting all trophies on a game I love to play called Dark Souls II. The trophies on Dark Souls 2 were not that easy mainly because the game required you to defeat some people online & there are a lot of skilled players that are a lot better than me on the game. I also got to learn to play a new song by Rage Against the machine called Killing in the name of.

Duties and Responsibilities: Dietitians and nutritionists are experts in food and nutrition. They advise people on what to eat in order to lead a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health-related goal.

Reflection: I don’t care much about medical jobs, I never did. Medical jobs or anything that has to do with medicine never caught my attention.
